Identification: Each participant must provide a valid government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID. This ensures the integrity and accuracy of the testing process. Click to learn more about valid government ID in Ohio & Michigan
Legal Guardianship: For minors, legal guardians must provide consent for the test. Guardians must also present legal documentation verifying their guardianship status.
DNA Sample Collection: Our DNA tests require a simple and painless buccal (cheek) swab. This involves rubbing a cotton swab on the inside of the cheek to collect cells. The process is quick, non-invasive, and we can conduct it wherever is most convenient for you through our mobile testing services.
Chain of Custody: For legal DNA testing, maintaining a chain of custody is essential. A certified DNA specimen collector must witness the sample collection to ensure correct identification and prevent tampering. This ensures the results are admissible in court or other legal settings.

What Type of Labs are used for the results of a DNA test?

We use AABB accredited labs for all our DNA testing to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Legal DNA Testing V.S. Non-Legal DNA Testing?

Chain-of-custody testing, also known as legal DNA paternity testing, provides legally admissible results that serve as proof of relationship for various legal purposes.
